The mission of Jackson Downtown Development Corporation (JDDC) is to increase property values, recruit quality business and upscale residential, create new investment and promote the arts and cultural enrichment in downtown Jackson.

Our goal is to improve the quality of life for Jacksonians by strengthening the pulse of downtown through concentrated efforts in organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring with a historic preservation focus.

JDDC is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation that is funded through sponsorships and fundraisers with an objective to further the prosperity of downtown business. The primary role of JDDC is to provide a comprehensive approach to the revitalization and promotion of historic downtown. JDDC supports downtown events and happenings, as well as providing printed and email media, to ensure that exposure to downtown is ongoing.

As a results-oriented organization, JDDC continues the promotion of the downtown through goal setting and long range planning which includes:

  • Reinforce the importance of downtown within the City as a whole and the surrounding community.
  • Continue the recruitment of unique, upscale and diversified businesses.
  • Increase the visibility of downtown Jackson throughout the Mid-South.
  • Support and provide events that showcase the downtown.
  • Assist and support City planning efforts.

Multiple levels of sponsorship are available to those wishing to contribute to the goals of JDDC as well as increase their own visibility. Every sponsor is recognized on the JDDC website and in our weekly newsletter.
