From Your Director . . .

Well, last Friday evening we pulled out all the stops to get more people downtown for the monthly "Fabulous Friday" event held the last Friday of every month. Early in the evening JDDC provided a dinner and open house/walking tour for Jackson Realtors. Empty, as well as restored buildings were held open for inspection. Downtown meeting places were also highlighted, and of course numerous businesses were open starting at 7:00,. JDDC provided street corner musicians and the Dickson Gallery, Layafette Thrift Market and the Byrds' Elks Building all had entertainment at their establishments. What a great evening it turned out to be. The weather held out, and those attending seemed to enjoy themselves. We always look forward to Fabulous Friday, as new people keep coming downtown to see all it has to offer. It is a constant challenge for JDDC to get people down for their first look and feel, but they always comment on making a return visit.

Our Downtown is just great. It is so viable, and a true destination for a great experience. We hope you don't wait until the end of September to come down, but if you do, Fabulous Friday is on the 29th and will provide you with a fun filled evening. We'd love to see you, so plan on coming downtown, soon!
