From Your Director ...
Jackson Downtown Development Corporation (JDDC) is anxious to begin a new year of possibilities downtown. We are proud to have a strong and dynamic board of directors ready to implement many new revitalization initiatives.
The mission of JDDC is to increase property values, recruit quality business and upscale residential, create new investment and promote the arts and cultural enrichment in downtown Jackson.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life for Jacksonians by strengthening the pulse of downtown through concentrated efforts in organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring with a historic preservation focus.
This year, we are eager to involve the community in our efforts to achieve our lofty mission. One of the ways you can get involved with JDDC is to volunteer as a committee member. Our committees cover the following areas: Economic Development, Fundraising/Membership, and Events/Promotion. Dance Master Class
As an outreach the Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble performance in Jackson the teachers and students from the ensemble will host a free Master Class.

Dale Carnegie Course
Founded in 1912, Dale Carnegie Training focuses on giving people in business the opportunity to sharpen their skills and improve performance. Locally, Les Risner will facilitate a component of the program entitled "Effective Communications and Human Relation" for twelve consecutive weeks.

Pancake Breakfast
Pancakes anyone? Stop by the Baker's Rack and enjoy a pancake breakfast benefiting the Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame. W.S. Holland will be on hand to sign autographs and answer questions. Don't forget your pen, paper and camera!

Mardi Gras Auction & Dinner
Get into the season of Mardi Gras with St. Mary’s annual benefit. Opening at 6:00 p.m., the silent auction begins a fun-filled evening. Survey the goods and place your bids because dinner follows at 7:30 p.m., and the evening concludes with the Live Auction. Individual tickets are $60, or $100 per couple. Gather some friends and fill a table of eight for $500.
