We are a week out from Bluesfest. The Bands are booked, food vendors confirmed, media in full swing . . . Now all we need is you!

Friday, June 1st and Saturday, June 2nd the gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the music starts at 5:30 p.m. Ten acts will perform over the two day festival, so bring your lawn chair, an empty stomach and a hunger for the blues.

Friday night will feature Terry “Harmonica” Bean, Flashback, Joseph McKinney Project, Daddy Mack Blues Band and end with Magi. The Saturday night line-up includes Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Elam McKnight, Big George Brock, Jimbo Mathus and Nora Jean Bruso. To get a taste of their music click here to check out their websites.

Tickets are $10.00 for each night or round up a group to purchase a Party table (including 8 general admission tickets) for $200. Tickets and Party tables may be purchased by calling Jackson Downtown Development Corporation at 427-7573.

So once the dust settles from Memorial Day Weekend leave the lawn chair and sunscreen in the car and make plans to come downtown to the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market to enjoy the 16th Annual Shannon Street Blues & Heritage Festival.
