Issue 252 - March 10, 2010
A special congratulations goes out to Aspell Recovery and Area Relief Ministries for receiving the Pinnacle Award for non-profit work on Tuesday! Thank you Aspell and ARM, and all the other downtown non-profits for all the great work you do for our community! Jackson is the “Hub” of West Tennessee for many reasons. Jobs, shopping, restaurants, health care, non-profits and regional government are just a few. Downtown Jackson is the “Hub” of Madison County. Downtown is centrally located, has entertainment venues, jobs, government, and soon to be more shopping, restaurants, and more community events. We are working hard to bring new and exciting opportunities for the whole family downtown. Keep an eye on the calendar and website, as we are always adding more events and news for you to enjoy and learn more about downtown Jackson, TN. The website also contains a listing of available properties for sale or lease and a downtown living listing.
The 19th Annual Shannon St Blues and Heritage Festival information will soon be updated, but go ahead and mark your calendar for June 4th and 5th, you don’t want to miss this year’s celebration of Jackson’s musical heritage. Also, don’t forget to sign up as a volunteer through www.downtownjackson.com.
