I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating America’s Independence on the 4th of July! I feel fortunate to be living in such a great country and a great city. Don’t forget to say “thank you” to a veteran, it doesn’t have to a special holiday to let them know we value their service and sacrifice to keep our independence.

Starting tomorrow you will be able to go to www.downtownjackson.com and download the information and application for the two new incentive programs. We are so excited to be offering these programs to all you entrepreneurs. Downtowns are natural incubators for the entrepreneurial community and these new incentives will help ease those initial risk factors of starting your own business.

Yesterday I celebrated my one year anniversary with Jackson Downtown Development Corporation. What a year it has been! This has been an incredible opportunity to promote the great City of Jackson, its wonderful people and, of course, it’s heart, Downtown Jackson. Jackson has been very welcoming to me and my family, and we can’t thank you enough. I am looking forward to another great year downtown as we continue to grow and prosper! !
