JACKSON, TENNESSEE — Experience the “Art and Soul” of Jackson.  Friday, September 28th, it’s happening again. The last Friday of every month, downtown Jackson celebrates Fabulous Friday. Art Galleries, Pubs, participating shops and restaurants will be open from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

For your “ART,”

The Dickson Gallery of Fine Art, 118 E. Lafayette Street, will be hosting the preview reception of “Reconfigured 07” featuring the exquisite fine art jewelry of Jacque Hillman. Her work will be on display from Friday, September 28th  through Saturday, October 13th.

The Jackson Union Sculpture Tour (J.U.S.T.), Carnegie, 305 E. Church Street, will host an opening reception celebrating the recently installed art in downtown Jackson.  Union University and the City of Jackson have come together to bring beautiful sculptures to this historic downtown area.  Five new outdoor sculptures will be showcased to experience and honor the visual arts. 

Marguerite’s, 124 E. Baltimore will host their monthly Galleries-A-Go-Go and feature the work of Gourd Artist Jackie Smith.

Artopia, 575 S. Royal, will feature music, art and the recently opened Crooked Blue Fish Women’s Clothing Store.  Explore the array of open shops and enjoy dinner at Café Capone’s an Italian Steakhouse.

2 Rare Gems  and Art Under A Hot Tin Roof will be open at their 112 E. Lafayette location.

For your “SOUL,”

St. Luke’s Church will be hosting the Holy Grounds Coffee House, 309 E. Baltimore.

Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame, 105 N. Church Street will host the Harmon’s Creek Band. 

Downtown Tavern, 208 N. Liberty Street, will feature the music of Jimmy’s Nature. 

Main Street Live, 215 W. Main and Jokes-N-Jamz, 216 N. Shannon will both have live music
