What is First Friday Forum ?

First Friday Forum is a Timely Discussion on events impacting the community. Held from September thru May, on the first Friday of the month at Noon, at the 1st United Methodist Church, 200 South Church Street, Downtown Jackson. The event has become very popular as a means to visit with colleagues as well as keep up on the latest happenings.

First Friday Forum Press Releases

SEPTEMBER 7, 2007


JACKSON, TENNESSEE

First Friday Forum kicks off a new series on September 7, 2007.  The season will begin with an exciting look at “Downtown Jackson’s Past, Present and Future.”  It will provide the community an opportunity to meet Jill Mendoza, the newly appointed director of Jackson Downtown Development Corporation.  She will share remarks on her new duties and responsibilities and her vision and goals for downtown Jackson.  She will be accompanied by board members who will participate in the presentation. 

Please plan on attending First Friday Forum from noon until 1:00 p.m., in Clayton Hall of the First United Methodist Church, 200 S. Church Street.  The forum focuses upon timely discussion on events impacting the community and is held from September through May, the first Friday of the month.  First Friday Forum is sponsored by Jackson Downtown Development Corporation and First United Methodist Church.  A $5.00 lunch is available.  For more information, contact Jackson Downtown Development Corporation at 427.7573.
