Youth Week at First United Methodist Church
9:00 am First United Methodist Church, 200 South Church Street 422.4002
  Week long youth event for any student who has completed the sixth through twelfth grades. FUMC will be called home for the week as students move in on Sunday and stay together through Friday. The group will work in the community of Jackson through various service projects. The youth will lead the worship service on Sunday, July 27.

  Donate your used books for sale to benefit the newspaper in education program at the Jackson Sun. Proceeds will be used to provide newspapers for school classrooms to study the stock market, world news and current events. Books may be dropped off at the Jackson Sun.

Jackson Idol
9:00 am Carl Perkins Civic Center, 400 South Highland Avenue 425.8398
  Citywide Talent Show with winning performers from Area Day Camps to compete in a Final Competition against each other to see who will become the First Annual Jackson Idol. Talent is limited to three or four minutes. Contestants will perform before a panel of judges and may perform music, dance, poetry, acting, soloist, duet, etc. Winning sites will receive a trophy and plaque. Free admission
